## Who this is for
For patients and caregivers facing treatment costs or everyday bills during cancer care. Inclusion is not a recommendation or a finding that this program is right for your situation.

Family Reach is a national nonprofit focused on the money problems that come with cancer treatment that are not medical bills: rent, groceries, utilities and getting to appointments. It has done this for 30 years and helps people of all ages and cancer types.

## What they offer

- A free online finder for local help with everyday costs, searchable by zip code and available 24/7.
- One-on-one navigators who give personalized recommendations for financial help.
- Financial assistance grants for some everyday expenses, requested by your social worker or another health care professional.
- Help areas: housing and lodging near treatment, utilities and phone or internet, food, and transportation such as gas cards and long-distance travel.
- Tips on managing everyday expenses and talking about money with your care team.

## How to start and what it costs

Use the resource finder, or apply to connect with a navigator from the Financial Resource Center. Ask your social worker about a grant. Family Reach says these resources are free (checked October 24, 2026).

## How it fits with other groups here

Family Reach covers everyday living costs. For copays and insurance problems, see [Patient Advocate Foundation](/companies/patient-advocate-foundation/). My [find support guide](/resources/find-support/) lists more options.

## Questions I would ask

- Which local programs can help with my rent or utilities right now?
- Can my social worker apply for a grant for me?
- Is there help for travel or lodging near my treatment center?
- What can a navigator do that the online finder cannot?
