# Imerman Angels

Free one-on-one peer support that matches people with cancer, and caregivers, to a trained Mentor Angel who has been through a similar experience, matched by people rather than an algorithm.

## Who this is for
For anyone facing cancer, including survivors, previvors and caregivers, who wants to talk one-on-one with someone who has been in a similar situation. Inclusion is not a recommendation or a finding that this service is right for your situation.

Imerman Angels connects people facing cancer with a Mentor Angel: a fighter, survivor, previvor or caregiver who has been in a similar spot. Mentors are trained volunteers, and real people make the match, not an algorithm. It works for any cancer type.

## What they offer

- One-on-one matching with a Mentor Angel whose story is close to yours.
- Caregiver Mentor Angels for spouses, partners, parents, children, siblings and friends.
- A Cancer Support Specialist who does an intake call to understand what you want.
- Flexible contact, usually by phone, with video, text or email options for different needs and time zones.

## How to start and what it costs

Fill out the online registration, then schedule an assessment with a Cancer Support Specialist. Once they find a match, they introduce you. Imerman Angels says it is completely free (checked October 24, 2026).
