Review
Remote cancer second opinions from Milan, with a written specialist report and separately priced diagnostic or multidisciplinary reviews.[1]

What they do

The team reviews the submitted medical history and provides recommendations. Available consultation areas include medical oncology, surgery and radiotherapy.

Who it’s for

Patients who already have a diagnosis or treatment proposal and can provide current records in English or Italian.

How to start

Prepare the forms and a recent oncologist report. Send the file to the second-opinion office; payment follows the completeness check.

Cost and insurance

As of October 2026, the base opinion is €500. Additional fees are €232 for slide review, €189 for imaging assessment, €200 for an in-depth consultation and €350 for multidisciplinary consultation, with prior patient approval.

What to check

The base fee does not include every diagnostic or multidisciplinary service. IEO lists five working days for the medical report after payment; clarify follow-up and update fees.

How it fits

Institut Curie also offers international review. Compare what the quoted price includes rather than assuming the base fees cover the same work.

Questions I would ask

  • Which specialist would review my cancer and the decision I am facing?
  • Does the review include rereading the actual scans and pathology, or only their reports?
  • What will I receive, and how can my oncologist ask follow-up questions?
