- International written and video second opinions from senior specialists in Germany, subject to specialty and case acceptance.[1]
What they do
A senior consultant reviews existing reports and images. You can request an English written report or a video discussion. Listed areas include hematology, neuro-oncology, gynecologic, orthopedic and pediatric oncology.
Who it’s for
International patients whose question can be answered from current records. Reports must be in English or German.
How to start
Submit the hospital inquiry form and explicitly request a remote consultation. The team checks the case and sends the next steps.
Cost and insurance
As of October 2026, written consultations are listed at €400–675 and video consultations at €775–1,050. Advance payment is required; ask about any extra multidisciplinary work.
What to check
Not every specialty or case can be reviewed remotely. The specialist may decline if an examination is necessary. The hospital lists five to eight working days for written reviews after complete records and payment.
How it fits
Gustave Roussy and Institut Curie are other European options. Confirm which institution has the right specialist and review format for your cancer.
Questions I would ask
- Which specialist would review my cancer and the decision I am facing?
- Does the review include rereading the actual scans and pathology, or only their reports?
- What will I receive, and how can my oncologist ask follow-up questions?
