- International records-based cancer opinions, plus a separate domestic appointment pathway. The international online service does not include a live physician discussion.[1]
What they do
A cancer specialist reviews records, diagnostic tests and basic pathology and provides an assessment and treatment recommendations. Your local physician participates.
Who it’s for
International patients who want a second opinion without traveling to Tampa. U.S. patients should use the separate appointment or eligible virtual-care route.
How to start
International patients submit the consultation request form. Ask the team to confirm the scope before arranging records and payment.
Cost and insurance
As of October 2026, international online consultations start at $2,500. Extra pathology work may cost more. Moffitt does not bill insurance for this program; ask your insurer about reimbursement.
What to check
The online consultation described here is for international patients only and does not provide direct interaction with the reviewing doctor. Domestic virtual visits have separate eligibility rules.
How it fits
MSK’s international intake includes a video option. Moffitt’s international online opinion is a records-based service without direct physician discussion.
Questions I would ask
- Which specialist would review my cancer and the decision I am facing?
- Does the review include rereading the actual scans and pathology, or only their reports?
- What will I receive, and how can my oncologist ask follow-up questions?
