Tumor profiling / Find clinical trials
Inocras
CancerVision compares tumor and normal DNA using whole-genome sequencing, with report support and trial matching.
- Test
- Paired tumor-normal whole-genome sequencing for solid tumors, with clinical-trial matching support.[1]
- Sample
- The provider page lists FFPE curls or slides plus a paired normal sample from blood or a buccal swab. Confirm the current collection instructions.[1]
- Timing
- Two weeks from receipt of the required samples at the lab, according to the provider page.[1]
- Ordering and payment
- Ordered by a healthcare provider. The patient page says US insurance does not currently cover its whole-genome tests.[2]
Before ordering
- Ask your clinician what whole-genome testing would add to the reports you already have.
- Have pathology and Inocras confirm the specimen instructions. Do not arrange another biopsy just because a website lists a sample requirement.
- Ask for the full patient price. The US patient page says these tests are not currently covered by health insurance.
- Ask what germline findings may be reported and whether genetic counseling is appropriate.
More data can uncover useful findings. It can also leave you with findings that do not change treatment.
