The NTRKers is a global nonprofit patient group for people with NTRK gene fusion cancer. It was founded by patients and loved ones and is supported by clinical experts. An NTRK fusion can drive cancer anywhere in the body, so members have many tumor types, including thyroid, lung, sarcomas, salivary gland and central nervous system tumors. Both adults and children are affected.
What they offer
- A community for patients and families, with patient stories and peer connection.
- Plain-language explanations of NTRK fusion cancer and FAQs on diagnosis, testing, treatment and disease management.
- A list of clinicians familiar with NTRK gene fusions.
- A clinical trial finder built with SparkCures.
- News and events, such as virtual roundtables on liquid biopsy and drug resistance.
How to join and what it costs
Join through its site. I did not see any fee to join (checked October 24, 2026).
How it fits with other groups here
NTRK fusions are rare, which makes a group like this especially useful. It sits alongside other biomarker groups such as The ROS1ders and ALK Positive. My tumor testing guide explains how fusions are found.
Questions I would ask
- Which tests found NTRK fusions for other members?
- Which NTRK experts do members see?
- What trials are open for my tumor type?
- Is there support for parents of children with NTRK fusion cancer?
